Michael Gustafson joined Sperry Van Ness in 2010 as an Advisor specializing in both the Arizona and Southern California market places carrying with him a highly skilled, diverse and successful commercial development background. Prior to joining Sperry, Michael co-founded VP Commercial, LLC in 2004 and his attention to detail resonated though numerous property award’s in additional to being voted developer of the year for three consecutive years. Michael’s cast of properties included Medical Office Buildings, general Office centers, Industrial Business Parks and Retail Strip Centers in addition to co-founding Vision Offices, an executive suite service provider which quickly dominated the small user market. Proceeding, Michael acted as the Director of Development for Victoria Properties Management, LLC which managed and developed numerous properties in Arizona following his vice presidency roles with Daniel Fox and Associates and Johnes Development. Michael’s properties added in excess of 2.5 million square feet to the skyline.

Throughout Michael’s career he has managed a diverse clientele of individual investors in addition to support of institutional advisors such as REITs, Life Insurance Companies and Pension Funds Advisors. Since starting in the Real Estate business in December, 1985, Michael Gustafson has been involved in various capacities with construction, development and or acting as a fiduciary representative in all facets of the real estate industry.

Michael grew up in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University in 1985. Michael has served for several years on local charity committees in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation (Pink Tie Ball) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and Newport Beach, California with his wife.
