Sharon R. Browning serves as a senior advisor with Sperry Van Ness, specializing in retail and shopping center investment transactions in Southern California. Browning has over 25 years of experience in shopping center management, leasing and sales, and provides commercial real estate investment analysis for her growing list of private individual, institutional, and corporate investors.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Browning served as founder of Browning Commercial Properties located in San Juan Capistrano. Her extensive commercial real estate experience includes providing services for several key investors in the industry, including financial institutions such as Northern Trust, Sanwa Trust, United California Bank, and Bank of the West. She has also handled lease administration and negotiations for Immigration & Naturalization Services (INS), Navy Federal Credit Union, The City of New York, Mission Hospital, Lucky Stores, Albertsons, Stater Brothers, PETCO, Subway, Quizno’s, Blockbuster Video, Starbucks, Boston Market, and Rite Aid.

Recent sales transactions include Albertsons anchored center in Wyoming, Las Hadas Office Complex in San Juan Capistrano, Mariposa Plaza in Fountain Valley, CA, Brookhurst Town Center in Westminster, CA, Landmark Plaza in Laguna Beach, CA, and a Rite Aid in Fresno, CA.

Browning is a member of the Board of Directors for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Orange County and recently was elected a National Delegate to represent the chapter. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She is a past president of the Industrial Commercial Network, has attended Mediation Training for Brokers, has completed the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) class for Leasing and Management of Shopping Centers, is a CCIM Candidate and has completed the CCIM 101 Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate.
